Library kids party brings best-selling writer
Many of Jean Reagan’s best ideas for her books come directly from kids at her readings.
Reagan, a New York Times bestselling author, will be in the youth wing of Teton County Library at 11 a.m. Saturday to read from her new book, “How to Get Your Teacher Ready.” The library is located at 125 Virginian Lane.
Reagan’s reading is part of the Library Summer Fun Finale Party, which begins at 10 a.m. and is a celebration of the written word featuring plenty of family-friendly activities. It is free to attend.

Also, when my kids were little, I fussed at them more than I care to admit. But when we sat down on the couch with a stack of books, we entered a magical world together. All the “shoulds” melted away, and “time” became suspended.

Though Utah author Jean Reagan started writing children's books in 2003, her first book was published in 2009. It centered on her son who died at the age of 19 from a drug overdose. He left behind a sister, his only sibling, and Reagan wanted to acknowledge her daughter's loss that often got ignored for the sake of her parents, she said in an interview with Ted Capener on KUED.
