Picture Book in Braille
Jean Reagan shows us her book How to Babysit a Grandpa with Braille added to it.
Picture books for young children can also be written in Braille in a way so the sighted adult and the blind child can share the experience. And it can go the other way too! Here Jean Reagan visits the Utah Library for the Blind where her book How to Babysit a Grandpa (illustrated by Lee Wildish) has been translated into Braille. Utah has the largest library for the blind in the United States and many picture books for the blind are available to be loaned by mail. How to Babysit a Grandpa is also available at every state library for the blind across all 50 states.
